Hightlights of our After School Sewing Clubs
Do you have a child who loves to sew, design and create?
Why not try our After School Sewing Clubs so they can get creative. Sew Happy will provide all the materials and equipment so that your child can learn basic sewing skills while working on a fun project that they get to take home.
Sew Happy use Brother sewing machines which I will set up for use. We have chosen this machine as they have a speed slide setting which is fantastic for children and indeed beginners.
- Join Sew Happy for 60 minutes of creativity.
- Each week children will have access to materials, threads, buttons, ribbons, sewing machines and all the other equipment needed to design and make.
- We can work with children who prefer a more structured club teaching different stitches and using different materials to make cushions, bunting, pencil cases, hairbands, to name a few.
- We also understand that some children prefer to learn by doing their own thing and our role is to guide and supervise, without quashing those creativity juices.
- We have had cat hats, fingerless gloves, a glasses pouch for Grandad and stitched Mothers Day cards in our clubs.
- Sewing and crafting provide a calm activity after a busy day at school.
- Suitable for KS1 & KS2, although sewing machines will only be available for KS2 clubs.
- After-school clubs are currently running at Sandhurst Primary School.
- Please contact us at Sew Happy to discuss your schools requirements.
- Cost £4.50 per child per week (including all materials)
